Fig. #8-12 shows the two frames compared (left, top and bottom) where the motion is detected. Suffice to say, it is more clear in a visual animation cycling from one frame to the next, so I regret the limitations of a book published illustration set are not the ideal medium for showing you this. In the middle set, the motion and highlight shift is emphasized, and in the right set, the tonal inversion accents some of the movement, and arrows diagram the motions.

Once this was identified in Copy 8, I formulated a research proposal and was gratified to find that the proposal was accepted and the research was funded (described in detail in Appendix Six - Research Grants). That proposal was to design and build scientific test costumes with breast prosthesis chest pieces, made from the three materials used for such costume work in 1967, and employ female figure models who would permit the project to film them in a manner that we can study the motion of real anatomical breast mass in various walking and stepping down motions. Most importantly, the project allowed the costumes with breast prosthesis and the figure models to be put through virtually identical motion routines, with the same viewing angle, the same photographic setup, the same activity, so we could compare what a costume breast prosthesis does, and what a real organic breast does, and then compare both to what we see in the PGF.
